Tags

Tags are designed to help participants assign keywords or terms to their notes as they work through the course materials and link course participants who have similar interests. You have the option to add a tag on every page of the course, so you can choose words that are meaningful to you (a tag) to describe the content of the page. Then, you can access all pages that you, or any other participants, have tagged with that same word.

On the main ISLET page, clicking on the words that appear as tags allows you to see which other course participants have tagged those words as one of their interests, which course pages are tagged with those words, and which Notes are tagged with those words. Once you have clicked on a word, you have the option to “Add [tag word] to my interests,” which will allow other participants to see that you share their interest. You can “Flag as inappropriate” to notify course administrators that a tag someone has selected is offensive or inappropriate in some way. And, you can “Edit this tag,” which allows you to place a comment or description on the tag’s page as well as relate the tag to other tags.
